The former Canadian fitness model, and professional female wrestler, Patricia Anne Stratigias, or more often known as WWE’s Trish Stratus, was born on December 18th, 1975. Hailing from Greek and Polish roots, Trish Stratigias is the eldest of John and Alice Stratigias’ three daughters.
Last December, 2006, Trish Stratigias was able to tie the knot with her boyfriend of fourteen years. Her wedding was attended by several of her fellow former WWE Divas namely Ivory, Molly Holly, Victoria, Lillian Garcia and more.
Trish Stratigias had started her career with WWE right after she started her career as a fitness model. Trained by Dave Finlay and Ron Hutchinson, Trish Stratigias made her first appearance on March 19, 2000 in one of those Sunday Night Heat episodes. She made her in-ring debut on a few months after in a taping of Smackdown, where she and T&A won a tag team match against the Hardy Boyz. As she made more appearances on WWE, Trisha’s wrestling skills as well as her popularity was strengthened. In fact, she was hailed as the “Diva of the Decade”, as well as WWE Hardcore Champion. She was also a three-time “WWE Babe of the Year”. Over the course of her seven-year stay in the business, Trisha had made history by making the most number of times winning the WWE Women’s Championship.
Although she was one of the best female wrestlers that appeared on WWE, Trisha is also known not only for her face gimmicks and dramatic WWE storylines. Apart from being all beauty and brawn, the WWE diva was also involved in various charitable initiatives such as Dreams Take Flight, the Special Olympics as well as the Ronald McDonald House. In addition, Trish Stratigias had also helped raise money for Dignitas International by participating in a celebrity relay team in the Island Triathlon Series.
