NBA Celebrity All Star Game

With the NBA finals fast approaching, everyone’s excited what’s in store and what cool moves our favorite players have under their sleeves this time. Orlando Magic taking up the Los Angeles Lakers is surely to be a historic NBA celebrity all star game and we all can’t help but wonder what happens when Coby and Howard meet on the court. Many Cavalier and Nugget fans surely are disappointed that their desired teams didn’t make it to the finals. Everyone was determined for Lebron and Kobe to meet in the finals and in fact earlier this season Howard said: “…we find it really disrespectful that everybody seems to be pulling for Lebron and Kobe to get to the Finals. Every time I look at TV, it seems like that’s all anybody is talking about. It’s like nobody is even giving us a shot at winning this series and we’ve used it as motivation….the lil’ ol’ Magic make it, what will they say then?” I’m sure no one meant any harm by wanting Lakers and Cavaliers to be the finalists but they do deserve respect considering this is the first time they’ve made it to the finals since 1995! Instead of sobbing because we do not get a chance to see Lebron James vs. Kobe Bryant, let’s reflect on all the great shots and highlights of the whole season by reviewing a few of these top plays.

Fresh in our minds is when Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard threw down the Hedo Turkoglu miss with authority during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers and gained the title “Dunk of the night”. Another unforgettable dunk was the when Trevor Ariza of Lakers got the feed from Kobe Bryant in Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets, and drove the lane to finish with the flush. All these nba highlight dunks are some of the many impressive shots of the top NBA players this season. Who can forget the Magic vs. Cavaliers Game 2 when James dropped a 3-pointer from the top of the key over Orlando’s Hedo Turkoglu to save the team from Magic’s 93/96 and give them a 96/95 victory!

We definitely should all be very proud of our stars for the great show they’ve put in this season, these memorable plays surely makes our mouths water for what the final NBA Celebrity all star game has install us. The match-ups this series are going to be something we’d not want to miss. We have Mickael Pietrus going up against Kobe Bryant. For forward and center spot, are Lewis vs. Odom, Turkoglu vs. Gasol, and Hoard vs. Bynum and Dwight Howard is also going to have a hard time against Gasol and Bynum. And not forgetting Bryant, a proven All-Star and a future Hall of Famer vs. Howard, the young star who is continuing his rise to the top of the NBA. Though, Magic might have a little bit of an edge considering the fact that they’re all over 6’10” this match will make a very competitive series and just might be the one of the best matches we’ll ever see in the NBA finals.
