Phil Mickelson Wins the WGC-CA Championship
Phil Mickelson won his first World Golf Championship – CA Championship at Doral in Florida. He won by a single shot over Nick Watney. Mickelson is now on the number 2 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking, leaping over Sergio Garcia. He may take over the number one spot before Tiger Woods is fully healthy and playing at his optimum best.
Watney and Mickelson went into the final day tied for the lead on -16 but it was Mickelson who eventually came out on top in a very close contest.
Golf Pro-Tiger Woods is Back
Look who’s back.
Tiger Woods, who has not played since his U.S. Open victory over Rocco Mediate on June 16 at Torrey Pines is now stepping on the green again.
The 14-time major title holder is at it to win it after rehabilitating his surgically repaired knee and getting his golf game back in shape. He is most likely to return to action in the upcoming Accenture Match Play Championship or even earlier, which will be in Doral.
