George Herman “Babe” Ruth
During his career, Babe Ruth was given a lot of names, such as The Bambino, The
Sultan of Swat, the Colossus of Clout, the The Wali of Wallop. But his most infamous
name is Babe Ruth, which he earned during spring training in 1914, where his
teammates on the minor league Baltimore Orioles referred to him as the owner Jack
Dunn’s new "babe.”
